Once again in the Crown Poker Room you can get your gamble on Melbourne’s biggest horse race with the best odds in town. The Melbourne Cup Sweep Poker Tournament has returned again for 2012 with plenty of cash prizes to be won, plus three guaranteed Aussie Millions Main Event seats worth $10,600.
The tournament has a $340 buy-in and starts just like any other; however there is a special twist to this event. Once play reaches the final 24 players, the tournament will be paused and the chips will be tallied up. If you’re the chip leader, you’ll have first pick from the 24 horses in the Melbourne Cup race. Second in chips will get next pick, and so on, until the last of the horses have been assigned.
Those 24 players will really have something to cheer about on Melbourne Cup Day as the top three horses in the race will win their new jockeys a 2013 Aussie Millions Main Event seat worth $10,600!

Satellite qualifiers will run from Sunday 4 November 2012 and all day on Monday 5 November 2012. The Melbourne Cup Sweep Tournament itself will be held on Monday 5 November 2012, kicking off at 6:10pm with 2 hours late registration available.
